The Summer of '11...The Most Bitchin' Time of my Life

Upon titling this post, i realized I should probably broaden my surroundings and start using catchphrases that don't originate from Dazed & Confused. Anyway Van der Woodsen, your post was inspirational! I am really loving this whole "college" thing right now because it's a chance to completely reinvent myself. Well, not completely...I mean, I have considered changing my name to Eliza, speaking in an Italian accent, and constructing some convoluted story backstory about my father's alleged mafia involvement, you know, just to spice things up, but then I realized that eventually someone would find out I'm a frighteningly average girl from Katy. And then everyone would shun me because I fooled them into believing I was somebody I wasn't. And if that happened, I would feel like I was staring in a 90s teen moviem or Camp Rock...and that is not okay with me. So I decided my fashion reinvention would be more like a remodel. It will be me, personified. I'm not sure on the specifics, but I have a few ideas...
Her hair isn't the cutest in this photo, but I'm in love with Leila Jay! Not only does she have a middle part, but she has the whole doe-eyed sex kitten thing that I covet. I must learn how to do my eye makeup like hers
A continuation of the sex ktten concept. Why is Sophia Loren is so effortlessly and eternally sexy, damnit?! Oh, how I wish I was Sophia Loren!

I really love this because even though Lui wen has absolutely no curves, she's ridiculously beautiful! Plus, she's Chinese, and we all know how much I wish I was Asian! Seiously, her sexiness despite her lack of a figure is inspiring!!!
This is as statement! I no longer care how creepy my cat fetish is. I LOVE CATS!!!!!
Honestly, this needs no explanation.

This one is mostly reserved for the summer and our numerous beachventures to Galveston. I figure, we'll be driving by telephone road enough, I may as well channel my inner gypsy!
Because I so desperately want to be a ballerina!
I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be me in college, so I may as well accept fate now and invest in a bunch of leggings, chunky sweaters, and some eyeliner.

SS '11 Fashion Concept: For the Riches

So, I've been thinking long and hard about how I'm going to graduate with a bang and bridge my life into adulthood, or not really -- "college." This summer is vital to my survival as a fairly well dressed woman of the ages of adulthood that are going to tacking onto my appearance. I've decided the only way to do this is to dig up my roots, which I consider to be my freshman year of high school, embarrassingly. Through this nostalgic and upsetting process I've rediscovered the Jane in me; the woman at my roots. I'm totally going to be channelling an intelligent playwright, the reading glasses collection is coming back, skirts are in, and red is my favorite color again. As an inevitably filthy bohemian, I rarely make overtly girlish fashion choices, so as a part of my concept I've decided to channel mojitos, big money, big love, long lashes and bows in my raggedy wavy hair. Take these, put them on my newly tan dancer's bod, stick the two of us on a beach along the coast of the Ibiza Strip and tell us to act like the love child of a Frat and Socialite and there's my SS '11 Fashion Concept: For the Riches. Pour les riches, mes beaux enfants, nous naîtrions dans nos rêves.
